ABE DESIGN
ABE DESIGN was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2014. The firm works with various project scales ranging from small furniture to commercial buildings. The goal of the firm is to provide simple, smart and functional design solutions for every project. We always create and look for new ideas and experiences by researching, exploring and collaborating. ABE DESIGN collaborates with larger firms for larger scale projects as a part of MWESB certified businesses in Oregon.
Hiroki Abe, Principal
Hiroki received his Master of Science in Sustainable Environmental Design from Architecture Association School of Architecture in London and his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and his curiosity of other cultures, traditions and ethnicities drove him to travel and live around the world. He established his design style through many years of living and working in Tokyo, Barcelona, Florence, London, Paris, San Francisco and Portland. He is also a visiting critic at Portland State University School of Architecture.
